Yes, ActivMan offers you the proper tools to adjust existing depreciations. In the Tools menu you will find Modify depreciations per group.
Yes, it is possible to specify multiple values. For example: fiscal, economic, commercial, IFRS, US-GAAP, insured value and replacement value. For every value, a different depreciation can apply, and also a different investment amount.
It is an independent package that communicates effortlessly with all accounting software packages.
Yes, this can be accomplished with the optional AMimport program. This program comes with a number of standard Excel templates with which you can convert your Excel sheets to a format that can be read in ActivMan. Naturally, you can also let the McHil software specialists take care of this for you. You can then be sure of seamless connectivity between your sheets and the data in ActivMan.
If you have a maintenance contract for ActivMan, you can regularly download program updates. Over the internet your supervisor connects with the update-server of McHil software. One click of a button and the update will be installed.
If your accounting software has importing options, you can create journal entry files in ActivMan. These files can be exported in any desired format. Please contact us if you require a specific format.
If you consider the security level of your PC or network to be insufficient, you can limit the access to ActivMan with passwords, by using the optional program McWacht. With this program, you can restrict user (group) access to ActivMan on the file and field level. You can then assign user rights, for example for adding, viewing, deleting etc., optionally through filters. For example, if you want to allow a certain group of users to add asset alterations, but to bar them from creating or deleting assets in ActivMan, this is possible.
Certainly, ActivMan is ideally suited for accountancy firms. By default, the program can deal with an infinite number of administrations. You can even use certain files jointly across all administrations. This eliminates a lot of unnecessarily repetitive tasks. Moreover, you can quickly generate asset statements in the layout you desire, by using the optional Word macro.
By default, ActivMan will show you the most recent date and time at which a certain piece of information was added and/or modified. If you use McWacht, you can also see which user it concerned. Only a record's last change will be logged. If you want to track the entire history of the data at the click of a button, you may want to consider purchasing the optional program McLog. This program allows you to track back a range of actions that occur in files. This concerns, among others, the alteration of fields (the old and new value will then be specified), the deletion, viewing and adding of data, the opening of files, etc. You can define within the program which actions should be tracked.
Yes, this can easily be accomplished. ActivMan depreciates on a daily basis, and therefore you can retrieve and view the various values for any desired period.
This means that your ActivMan year licence has expired. Please contact our update server by selecting menu Help > Search for updates (this action can only be performed if you have supervisor rights in ActivMan). The update program will then connect to the McHil server and renew your licence (only if the licence invoice of the current year has been paid) and it will also install the lastest version of the ActivMan program, if you choose so. If you don't renew your licence then ActivMan will behave like normal in january, but it will continue in read-only mode in february and subsequent months.
